I recently took a two week trip to Europe to visit a couple friends. My good Friend Missy moved to Amsterdam earlier this year, and was kind enough to have me for a visit. Amsterdam is an incredible city, thanks for having me Missy. From Amsterdam Missy and I thought it would be fun to visit Istanbul. Our friend Jenny flew in from Seattle and met us at the airport. There isn't much more to say about Istanbul besides it is AMAZING, if you get the chance go. From Istanbul I flew up to London to visit two other friends who moved earlier this year. Maddy and Kihan were so kind to let me come visit them, thanks guys. They also had our friends Dan and Anika visiting at the same time, good times were had by all. My girlfriend Samantha was in London with a friend of hers at the same time, so I was able to see her as well. Samantha use to live in London, so it was real fun to see the locations she has been telling me about. Here are some photo's from the trip, and if you would like to see more of them click here.

Backpacking to Third Beach

My good friends Jon and Marley drove though town while on a cross country road trip. Samantha and I were lucky enough to have a few days off to join them on a little backpacking adventure. Every year me and some friends take a skateboarding trip. This year we decided to get some sun in Arizona. It was amazing, good weather, good Mexican food (which is most important of all), and really fun skateparks. This year the crew consisted of me, Ryan, Thommy, Brian, and Sasha. I got back from a trip to Thailand and China a couple weeks ago. I have been slacking about processing the photo's, but I finally got to it today. I went to Thailand for a week to meet up with Samantha. We went down to a little island in southern Thailand called Koh Lipe, it is basically paradise on earth. From there I went up to Beijing to meet up with my friend Mike. We saw many cool thinks, and walked many many miles. From there I went by myself to a city called Chungdu. Very cool city, tons of great parks and friendly people. I did however get extremely lost on a bike ride. I set out on a little ride, but got so lost it took me 5 hours to make it back to my hotel. From Chungdu, I went to Xi'an to meet up with Mike and His girlfriend. I really enjoyed Xi'an, the pollution was insane but other than that it was great. So I've decided I should start putting some work related stuff up here. I find my trips to be more interesting, but people have asked to see some work stuff. I just finished up a six day shoot at the Nike studio, it was a real big real fun shoot. Christmas 2010

For Christmas this year my family met at my sister Britt's house in Salt Lake City. As usual it was a great time, with lots of game playing and tons of eating. From there I flew over to Colorado to meet up with some old friends. Colorado has the craziest weather in the winter, one day I was playing golf in 60 degree weather, and a couple days later I was snowboarding in zero degree weather. I somehow didn't manage to take my camera out of my bad one single time while in Colorado. My good friend Chris drove to Colorado from St. Louis. Since road trips are just about my favorite thing, I decided to drive back to St. Louis with Chris. I thought St. Louis was amazing, and had lots of fun there. If anyone is ever going through St. Louis, you have to check out City Museum, it is my new favorite place. Here are a couple photo's from my trip. To see more click here.

My whole family decided to go visit my sister Shea and my Dad in Las Vegas. There were two things to celebrate, first Shea had a new baby girl (Bia) that we all needed to see. There was also the birthday of her oldest daughter Riley to celebrate. I unfortunately was on a plane while everyone else had an awesome pool party to celebrate Riley's 8th birthday. It was a very short trip for everyone, but we still had fun and ate good food.

I had purchased the Jet Blue all you can jet ticket, which allowed me to fly as much as I wanted from September 7th through October 6th. So from Las Vegas I flew to Los Angeles, to visit some friends. My trip was cut a little short, due to selling my condo and needing to move. Family Reunion

So just about every 4 or 5 years my extended family has a family reunion. Since my family is giant (my mom is one of 7 kids, and they all had lots of kids) getting together can be difficult. We had the reunion in El Centro California, if you haven't heard of it than you are lucky. Just imagine what the surface of the sun feels like, then double that and you might be getting close to how hot El Centro is. We went to El Centro because that is were my Grandma lives and she can't travel anymore. We did spend a day in San Diego at the beach which was very nice. Birthdays in Mexico

Last year for my 30th birthday a bunch of my friends and I went to mexico to celebrate. This year my friend Maddy turned 30 and we decided to do it again. This year there were two birthdays to Celebrate. Maddy and Caroline both have the same birthday, which made for a fun night. We rented the most amazing house in Sayulita Mexico. It was this giant orange house on a hill over looking the town. It was built like a tree house, there were many different levels and about one million stairs to climb. All in all I would say the trip was a success. There were a few hiccups on the trip, first being Alissa and my room got robbed. They only took some cash so considering what they could have taken, I think we got off pretty easy. The second problem was about six people got stuck in Mexico one extra night, due to some mechanical problems with there plain. Personally I think staying an extra night would be fun, but waiting in the airport for 6 hours sounds horrible. To see more photo's from the trip click here.

Three photographers and myself are opening a photo studio called Lucile. We just found our studio space, and have spent the past couple days working on it. I filmed a time lapse video of the first day of painting, the battery died on the camera so you don't get to see the finished product. Check back over the next couple days to see more progress.

My good friend Mike is living in Korea at the moment. He had some time off from work, so Joe, Thommy, and I thought we would go visit him. We decided Vietnam would be a good place to meet up, Vietnam did not disappoint. Vietnam was amazing, we all had an amazing time. We swam, rode scooters, saw ancient temples, hiked through caves and up mountanins, and tried not to die crossing the street in Saigon. All in all it was a great trip.

So we took our first big camping trip of the summer. Every year about 15-20 of us go on two camping trips every summer, the first one this year was to Miller River. The weather was great, and the campground was amazing. All in all it was a great weekend.

So today I went to test out a section of the new skatepark. They are puting a glass wall in, and needed to know how it skated (was it to slippery). This sounded fun to me. Little did I know there was going to be a newspaper photographer, as well as some ladies from the parks department, and the whole construction crew standing around watching me. Well of course they couldn't show the number of times that I rode on the glass without falling, what fun would that be. NO they must show me falling, Typical.

Alissa's friend Alissa (yes they have the same name) lives in Hawaii and invited us to visit. I don't see how anyone in there right mind could turn that down, so we headed out to Kauai for the last week of May. Lets just say it was amazing. We rode in a helicopter, hung out with horses, kayaked, jumped off waterfalls and rope swings, hiked one billion miles of amazing terrain, in general had a great time.

Every year we do a boys trip that involves skating and general good times. This year we decided to go to Kentucky for Thommy's birthday. Thommy's dad was nice enough to host us for a few days, it was amazing. We decided to do a movie of our trip, this is just one segment of the movie we made.

I went to Las Vegas for Easter this year. Britt and her kids went down to visit my sister Shea and my dad, so I figured I should go as well. We went out to the Hoover Dam, and we also visited the M&M factory. Sorry to say but they were not making candy when we went. So we had to make do by eating some instead.

February 15th 1979 was the day I was born, February 15th 2009 was the day I turned 30. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a bunch of friends in Mexico. So me and 12 good buddies rented a place in Sayulita, I have nothing more to say that it was amazing.

College reunion in Vail

I received and email back in the fall from one of my college friends, seeing if I want to have a little college reunion in Vail. Since I hadn't seen anyone since I left college 10 years ago, it sounded like a great idea. We all went to school in Glenwood Springs which is about 45 min from Vail. I am sure glad I went, it was so good to see everyone, and I almost forgot how fun it was to snowboard with Ryan and Brandon.

I never thought I would have a blog, but since all the cool kids are doing it I guess I should aswell. I am going to post a few photo's from my different adventures I like to go on. I think I will start by recapping what I have been up to so far in 2009. Hopefully once I do that, I will try and be good about posting photo's from my latest happenings.
So for New Years, Alissa and I went to San Diego to visit her sisters. Don't be fooled it is not all warm and sunny in San Diego like everyone says. I think it as been cold and soggy that past three times I have been. None the less, it is always fun to visit.
